The Susquehanna Review has gone digital! Editors Dana Diehl and Melissa Goodrich, with lots of help from graphic designer Kathy Sheehan, have complemented the print version of Susquehanna University's national undergraduate literary magazine with a full online version of the magazine.
Susquehanna is well represented in the pages of the magazine this year, with fiction by Rob Rotell and Louie Land, nonficiton by Lauren Bailey and William Hoffacker, and poetry by Amber Cook, Silvana Alfonso, Kaitlyn Wall, and Staci Eckenroth. As a former editor for the magazine, I enthusiastically recommend this year's edition of the magazine. Some of my favorite pieces include:
"You Are At My Mercy" by Sarah Groves, a short story about an unlikely romance that develops between a superhero and a supervillian, written as an interview.
"A Couple of Problems" by Rob Rotell, a short story about a husband struggling to reconnect with his wife in the months after an accident that severed her right leg just below the knee.
"The Whole Truth" by William Hoffacker, a memoir about a run-in with the FBI that prompts the author to reflect on silence and fragility.
"All Her Numbered Bones" by Caitlin Moran, a short story about two sisters visiting Dublin after their mother's death. Winner of the magazine's Gary Fincke Creative Writing Prize in prose.
